A summer boat trip off the coast of Alaska turned into a tragedy on August 3, 2024, for the Maynard family from Troy, Texas. Seven-year-old Brantley Maynard, his 11-year-old brother Colton, and their parents, David and Mary, were on a 28-foot aluminum vessel near Homer, Alaska, when the boat began taking on water and capsized.
