On the evening of July 8, 2020, Eugene Anthony Hickson, a 30-year-old man from Washington, DC, was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1700 block of Benning Road, Northeast. At approximately 9:56 pm, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District responded to reports of gunshots in the area.
