Do you know who murdered Marc Ficarra? In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Washington, D.C., a verbal dispute tragically escalated, leading to the death of 34-year-old Marc Jonathan Ficarra. The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on January 21, 2006, in the 2300 block of 18th Street, NW. Ficarra, a resident of Hyattsville, Maryland, was reportedly assaulted by three male suspects following the altercation.

Suffering from critical injuries sustained in the attack, Ficarra was transported to the Washington Hospital Center. For ten days, he fought for his life, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at 12:45 p.m. on January 31, 2006. Two other individuals, a 25-year-old male and a 21-year-old female, were also assaulted during the same incident but were treated at a local hospital and subsequently released.
The Metropolitan Police Department launched a homicide investigation into Ficarra's death. A description of one of the suspects was released to the public: a medium-complexioned Black male with a slim build, approximately 5'8' tall, and between 20 and 30 years of age. He was reportedly wearing a blue hooded shirt, a blue jacket, and blue jeans at the time of the assault. The other two suspects were described only as Black males, also believed to be in their twenties.
Despite the ongoing investigation, which is now being handled by the Major Crimes Cold Case Unit, no arrests have been made in connection with the death of Marc Ficarra. The case remains unsolved, and authorities continue to seek information from the public that could lead to the apprehension and conviction of the individuals responsible for his death. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
