In the early morning hours of November 11, 2016, the sound of gunshots echoed through the 3000 block of Stanton Road in Southeast Washington, D.C. When police arrived at the Stanton Glen Apartment complex around 1:27 a.m., they discovered the bodies of two young men on the steps. One of the victims was 25-year-old Samuelle Buie. He, along with 19-year-old Rassaan Jennings, was found unconscious and not breathing.
