On November 24, 2013, Derrick Marvin Baugham, age 25, was shot and killed in the unit block of Galveston Place, Southwest, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 3:08 a.m. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and began their investigation, but no immediate arrests were made.
