On September 23, 2020, at approximately 2:24 p.m., 30-year-old Christopher Washington was shot and killed while waiting at a bus stop on Southern Avenue, SE, in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred when Terrell Poe, 37, of Washington, D.C., pulled up in a stolen white pickup truck. Poe, armed with an assault rifle, exited the vehicle and shot Mr. Washington multiple times, resulting in his death.
