On the evening of October 9, 2020, in the 1600 block of W Street, Southeast, 28-year-old Yisa Jeffcoat was fatally shot. At approximately 9:56 p.m., officers from the Seventh District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Jeffcoat suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. D.C.
