Steffen Brathwaite, a 16-year-old ninth grader at Ballou High School, was tragically shot and killed on September 10, 2019, in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred on the 3000 block of 24th Place SE. Brathwaite was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
