On a Tuesday evening in Washington, D.C., the sounds of gunshots shattered the night in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood. It was approximately 9:17 p.m. on October 20, 2020, when police from the Sixth District were dispatched to the 300 block of 50th Street, Northeast, a residential area lined with apartments. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was identified as 43-year-old James Edward Brisbon of Southeast, D.C.
