On November 21, 2020, Marcus Wallace, aged 36, was shot and killed at approximately 9:05 PM in the 1400 block of L Street, SE, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department sought public assistance in gathering information regarding this homicide. The investigation revealed that Deshaun Gaskins was charged with first-degree murder while armed in relation to Wallace's death. However, prosecutors later dismissed the case.
