Lasanta McGill, a 62-year-old Air Force veteran, was tragically killed in a shootout in Washington, D.C. on June 8, 2023.

The incident occurred during a lunchtime dispute that spilled out of a deli on 7th Street NW near the Howard Theatre. According to D.C. police, the dispute involved three men, and McGill was caught in the crossfire.
