In the summer of 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening quiet at a community basketball court in Southeast Washington, D.C., leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Delante Colson, a 25-year-old male, was discovered unconscious on the grounds of the Douglass Community Center in the 1900 block of Frederick Douglass Court, SE, on the night of August 14th. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
