In the early hours of a December morning in Washington, D.C., a life was tragically cut short. Twenty-four-year-old Shalonte Pearson, a female resident of Southwest D.C., was discovered inside a vehicle in the 400 block of 61st Street, Northeast, suffering from a gunshot wound.
