Death by Force

On May 22, 2021, at approximately 12:23 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the 3600 block of Jay Street, Northeast, Washington, DC, after hearing the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered 45-year-old Tyrone Curtis suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Curtis was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
