On a late summer evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 31-year-old Delontae Kelly was tragically cut short. On Sunday, September 5, 2021, at approximately 7:05 p.m., the sound of gunshots echoed in the 600 block of Morton Street, Northwest. Responding to the sounds, members of the Fourth District of the Metropolitan Police Department discovered Mr. Kelly suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
