On November 28, 2021, at approximately 6:29 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of 30th Street, Southeast, Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, they discovered 28-year-old Deandre Hunter, a resident of Southeast D.C., suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported him to a local hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead.
