In the early evening of January 19, 2022, a tragic event unfolded on a street in Northwest Washington, D.C., that cut short the life of a young mother. Sierra Johnson, a 27-year-old woman from Northeast D.C., was discovered shot inside a car that was parked with its hazard lights flashing in the 2500 block of Georgia Avenue NW, near Howard University.
