On a cold Friday evening in Washington, D.C., the sound of gunshots shattered the winter quiet in the unit block of Forrester Street, Southwest. It was approximately 6:43 p.m. on January 21, 2022, when police responded to reports of the shooting. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered a grim tableau: two men, seated in a vehicle, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. There were no signs of life.
