On August 28, 2022, at approximately 5:50 am, Brandon Smith, aged 25, was shot and killed in the 100 block of Xenia Street, SE, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
