On October 17, 2022, 19-year-old Reginald Cooper Jr. from Washington, DC, was tragically shot and killed in a triple shooting incident on Congress Street SE. The incident also claimed the life of another 19-year-old, Davonte Berkley, from District Heights, Maryland. A third victim survived the assault and was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
