On a Thursday afternoon in Washington, D.C., a devastating incident cut short the life of 38-year-old Sophia Johnson. On October 27, 2022, Johnson was shot and killed while inside a vehicle at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and N Street, Northwest. The preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting appeared to be contained to the single vehicle.
