In the late morning of September 6, 2011, a tragedy unfolded in a bustling IHOP restaurant in Carson City, Nevada, forever altering the lives of many. Among the victims of this senseless act of violence was Christian Riege, a 38-year-old Caucasian male and a Master Sergeant in the Nevada Army National Guard.
