On December 31, 2015, Keith Childress, Jr., a 23-year-old father of three, was fatally shot by officers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in a tragic incident marked by misinformation and mistaken identity. Childress was visiting Las Vegas for the New Year's holiday and was staying with a relative in the city.
