On April 1, 2017, a tragic incident occurred in North Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in the death of 25-day-old Marcus Cleveland Thomas Jr. The event began around 9:15 p.m. when officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of East Deer Springs Way near Losee Road in response to a shooting. The preliminary investigation revealed that a gray Chrysler 4-door sedan, occupied by five people, was targeted in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
