On Sunday, June 28th 2006, a combination block party and car show was taking place in the 500 block of Frederick Avenue, adjacent to Walker Avenue. At approximately 1743 hours, L.V.M.P.D. dispatch received several 911 calls from citizens stating there were several people shooting into the hundreds of gathered partiers. Patrol units responded and witnessed mass hysteria as the several hundred citizens, attending the party, were fleeing in all directions.
