In the winter of 2016, the life of Donald Jecusco, a 68-year-old Caucasian male, came to a tragic end in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the morning of February 16th, Jecusco was found in the parking lot of a Metropolitan Police Department substation in the southwest valley.
Around 11 a.m., a gunshot broke the morning quiet. Officers at the substation discovered Jecusco inside a parked vehicle, slumped over.
They were forced to make entry into the car, where they found him deceased.
Early reports from law enforcement indicated that Jecusco’s death was the result of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. At the time, it was unclear why he had been at the police substation. Officials stated that there was no immediate indication of a connection to the police department or a local criminal history. The coroner's office later confirmed his identity, though the official cause and manner of death were pending further investigation.
