Reports that a 40-year-old Caucasian male named Larry Parra died in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 1, 2017, appear to be part of a hoax. A widely circulated story, initially published by People magazine, claimed Parra was a terminally ill man celebrating his 40th birthday at the Route 91 Harvest music festival when he was tragically killed in the mass shooting.
