On a warm evening in Las Vegas on July 3, 2016, a 46-year-old Caucasian woman named Ladonna Metais was enjoying a cigarette on the front porch of her home on North Campbell Road. Tragically, this ordinary moment turned into a scene of violence when a dark-colored, two-door car stopped in front of her house. Multiple gunshots were fired from the vehicle, and at least one struck Metais. She was rushed to University Medical Center but ultimately succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head.
