On September 18, 2016, a fatal shooting occurred in North Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Oscar Barragan. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning, approximately at 12:30 a.m., in the 3000 block of East Wright Avenue, near the intersection of Belmont Street and East Lake Mead Boulevard.
