In the summer of 2021, a grim discovery was made in North Las Vegas that began a homicide investigation into the death of 38-year-old Jessie Murillo, a Hispanic male. His body was found on July 23, 2021, inside a vehicle that had been towed from a downtown Las Vegas alley. The car had been removed a week prior at the request of a resident, suggesting Murillo had been deceased for some time before he was found.
