On July 4, 2021, a violent incident occurred at a Fourth of July party in North Las Vegas, resulting in the deaths of two men, including 21-year-old Maurice Clinkscale Jr. The shooting took place in the 1200 block of West Helen Avenue, near the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Carey Avenue, at approximately 11:14 p.m.
