On March 5, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., North Las Vegas police officers responded to a reported vehicle crash on Dreamy Hill Avenue, near Commerce Street and Tropical Parkway. Upon arrival, they discovered 28-year-old Justin Smith inside the vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Smith was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries on March 11.
