On May 2, 2017, a fatal shooting occurred in North Las Vegas, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Xavier Alexander Doss. The incident took place at the Loma Vista Apartments, located at 1200 W. Cheyenne Ave., near Martin Luther King Boulevard. Doss was found dead inside an apartment by responding officers who were called to the scene around 8:45 p.m..
