In the summer of 2020, the life of Brent Lloyd, a 48-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in what Las Vegas police would later describe as a senseless "thrill killing." On the morning of July 13, a jogger discovered Lloyd's body on a sidewalk near an apartment complex. He had been shot in the head while he was sleeping. At the time, Lloyd was experiencing homelessness.
The initial investigation yielded no immediate witnesses to the unprovoked attack.
However, a distant surveillance camera captured footage of the shooting, which showed the perpetrator running away from the scene and appearing to manipulate a cellphone. This detail would later prove to be a crucial piece of evidence in the case.
The investigation took a significant turn a few days later when another random shooting occurred in the same area. On July 15, a man was shot in the chest while walking his dog in a nearby park. This second act of violence led detectives to 21-year-old Noah Green. Upon his arrest, a search of Green's cellphone uncovered horrific, first-person videos of both shootings. One of the videos showed the murder of Brent Lloyd as he slept. The disturbing footage, filmed by the shooter, provided undeniable evidence of Green's involvement. Green was subsequently charged with murder and attempted murder.
