On October 20, 2023, 17-year-old Khairy Turner was fatally shot following a Halloween party in northwest Las Vegas. The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. near West Grand Teton Drive and Garehime Street. Officers responding to reports of a shooting found Turner lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a local hospital, declared brain-dead upon arrival, and succumbed to his injuries nine days later, on October 29.
