On January 27, 2018, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to a mobile home community located at 1200 North Lamb Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada. The call was in response to a report of a man shot. Upon arrival, medical personnel had initially responded to the residence to treat the man for what was believed to be a medical episode.
However, medics soon discovered that the man had been shot multiple times, prompting the police to be summoned to the scene.
The victim, identified as 42-year-old Jorge Prado-Romero, was working on a car in the driveway of his residence at the time of the incident. According to the investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section, Prado-Romero would often work on cars at his home and then sell them. On this particular evening, as he was engaged in his usual activity, an unknown suspect or suspects fired multiple shots, several of which struck Prado-Romero. He was transported to UMC Trauma, where he was later pronounced deceased a short time after arrival.
The investigation has not yielded any specific suspects or arrests in this case. The LVMPD Homicide Section continues to seek information and witnesses who may have seen or heard anything related to the shooting. As of the current date, the case remains unsolved, with no identified suspects or descriptions available. The police are still seeking any leads or tips that could help in identifying and apprehending those responsible for Prado-Romero's death.
