On September 3, 2023, 36-year-old Don Tisby was fatally shot in an alley on Sherwood Street, near Sahara Avenue and Joe W. Brown Drive, east of the Las Vegas Strip. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting around 11 p.m. and found Tisby with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
