In the early morning hours of February 19, 2018, the life of Jammie Ramone Jackson, a 37-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jackson was found dead in the driveway of a home located at 4323 Del Santos Drive, a residence known to law enforcement as a "drug flophouse." He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest, and his death was officially ruled a homicide.

The shooter then fled the scene in the SUV. The woman who was with Jackson at the time was unable to provide a description of the driver. The residence where Jackson was killed had a history of violence. Just two months prior, in December 2017, the same house was the scene of a triple homicide. In that incident, a dispute over narcotics led to the shooting deaths of three people. The homeowner was known to allow transients to stay at the property.
