In North Las Vegas, what began as an argument between two longtime family friends ended in the tragic death of 31-year-old DeAndre Harris, a Black male, on October 24, 2020. That day, Harris was involved in a dispute with Kelvis Bryant, 37, outside a home on Whelk Place. The verbal altercation escalated, leading Bryant to fire a single shot from inside his SUV, striking Harris.
