In the autumn of 2020, a tragedy unfolded in Reno, Nevada, forever altering the lives of a young woman's family. Tiffanie Self, a 28-year-old Caucasian female, found her life cut short on November 15, 2020. At the time, she was approximately four months pregnant, eagerly anticipating the arrival of her child.
In the days leading up to her death, Tiffanie had sought refuge at a friend's apartment on Park Street following a dispute with her boyfriend, Guy Lambert.
Fearing for her safety, she had asked her friend not to reveal her location to him. However, Lambert was persistent in his search for her and eventually discovered where she was staying.
On that fateful November day, Lambert, armed with a handgun, forced his way into the apartment where Tiffanie was staying. He then tragically shot her in the face before fleeing the scene. Despite immediate medical attention, Tiffanie succumbed to her injuries, and her unborn child also perished.
The Reno Police Department launched an intensive investigation, and a tip from a secret witness proved crucial. Four days after the shooting, detectives from the Robbery/Homicide Unit, with assistance from other specialized units, located and arrested Guy Lambert.
During the subsequent legal proceedings, Guy Lambert pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of Tiffanie Self and their unborn child. On February 15, 2024, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In addition to the life sentence, he received a consecutive 20-year sentence for the use of a deadly weapon.
