A young woman is found murdered 10 days after she vanished
Karin Santos-Coy, a 19-year-old woman from Reno, Nevada, was tragically found dead on July 10, 1980. Her decomposing body was discovered by hikers along Red Rock Road, a remote area north of Reno. Karin had been missing for nearly two weeks, last seen on June 28, 1980, when she attended the Reno Rodeo. Witnesses reported seeing her at the event in the company of two unidentified white males. The men were described as casually dressed, one with curly blonde hair, and both were barefoot.
