On November 27, 2020, a tragic incident occurred in east Las Vegas, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Rejon Aamir Campbell. The incident took place at an apartment complex located on the 3000 block of South Nellis Boulevard, near the intersection with Vegas Valley Drive. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, dispatch received a report of a person shot at the apartment complex around 9:53 p.m..
