In the early evening of January 8, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the calm at the Harbor Island Apartments on East Harmon Avenue in Las Vegas. When the chaos subsided, two men were left wounded. One of them was 30-year-old Antwan Pope Jr., a Black / African American male. He was found by responding police officers with a gunshot wound to his head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
