On May 23, 2021, 21-year-old Sarif El-Amin II was fatally shot in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred near the 3800 block of Royal Crest Street, close to the intersection of Twain Avenue and University Drive. At approximately 5 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification of gunshots in the area.
