In the early hours of October 27, 2022, the life of a 46-year-old Black / African American woman, Yetundi Yvonne Negitra Maples, was tragically cut short in her Las Vegas home. Residing at 5806 Spectacular Bid Street, Maples was shot and killed, leaving behind a community in shock and a family devastated. The harrowing events of that night were witnessed in part by her courageous 6-year-old son, who would play a pivotal role in the immediate aftermath.
