On September 26, 2001, the body of 34-year-old Wanine Moreira Rodriguez was discovered in a shallow grave in a desert area near Hualapai Way and Sunset Road, Las Vegas. Rodriguez, a Brazilian national and former model, had been missing for some time before her remains were found by a passerby walking their dogs. Due to the advanced decomposition of her body, the medical examiner was unable to determine the exact cause or manner of her death.
