On September 16, 2020, Kamiah Bird, a 37-year-old woman and a member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians, was fatally shot while driving home from work on Interstate 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred around midnight, and Bird died shortly thereafter due to her injuries.
