On a Sunday morning, July 29th, 1973, the Denver Police Department was called to the area of East Colfax Avenue and Detroit Street on a report of a man down. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 27-year-old Adair Dotson, a Black male, who had been shot to death. His body was found in the parking lot of the apartment complex located at 1466 Detroit Street.
