On Sunday morning, July 29, 1973, members of the Denver Police Department were called to the area of East Colfax Avenue and Detroit Street in Denver, Colorado, on a report of a man down. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, later identified as 27-year-old Adair Dotson, shot to death. Mr. Dotson was discovered within the parking lot of the apartment complex located at 1466 Detroit Street.
