On the evening of October 16, 1980, Terry Snyder, a 32-year-old white male, left to show a vacant residence to prospective renters in Denver, Colorado. As the store manager for Downing Appliances, this was a task he undertook as part of his responsibilities. When he did not return home that night, his family grew worried and alerted the police.
Responding officers checked the residence on the 1600 block of South Humboldt Street. Inside, they made a grim discovery.
