On October 28, 1978, 26-year-old Richard Louis McDougle was fatally shot near the intersection of East 33rd Avenue and Downing Street in Denver, Colorado. Responding officers found him in a parking lot across from a bar known as the Other Side of the Road. McDougle was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
